MarkSedio Mark Sedio currently serves as Cantor at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Minneapolis where his responsibilities include serving as organist and choirmaster, resident composer, liturgy planner, educator, and administrator of the Music and Fine Arts program series. In addition, Mr. Sedio is on the music staff of Luther Theological Seminary in Saint Paul. During the 1996-97 year, he served there as acting Cantor.
A native Minneapolitan, Sedio attended Augsburg College in Minneapolis where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education with choral and organ music concentrations in 1976. He was awarded a Master of Arts degree in choral conducting and literature from the University of Iowa (Iowa City) in 1979. In addition he studied at Luther Northwestern Theological seminary in Saint Paul from 1982-85.
A linguistics enthusiast, Mr. Sedio has studied German, French, Russian, Norwegian, Spanish, Latin, Greek, Hebrew, and has a working knowledge of Polish, Czech, and Slovak.
