StephanCasurella Stephan Casurella was born in England, where he began studying piano, organ, and music composition at an early age. He moved to the United States in 1987, continued studying music, and received degrees from Seattle Pacific University (B.A., piano performance and composition, 1994) and the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory of Music (M.M., piano performance, 1996; M.M., composition, 1999). He is currently pursuing a D.M.A. degree in church music (organ emphasis) at the University of Kansas.
Casurella has served as a musician in various parishes, including an eight-year appointment as Director of Music (principal organist and choral director) at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Kansas City, KS. As of 2006, he serves as full-time Principal Organist/Associate Director of Music at Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, KS. Casurella lives with his wife Rae and two sons in Mission, KS.
