Matthew Machemer is presently in his senior year at Concordia University Chicago, where he is getting a degree in music education. His musical interest has been nurtured by his family and by the piano lessons he began at age 5. Throughout his elementary and high school years he actively participated in nearly all school music ensembles. He continues his involvement in Concordia University’s choral and instrumental groups, while he serves as substitute organists at various congregations. It has been during this time that his love of composition has grown.
