Jeremy J. Bankson is an active minister of music, composer, arranger, and presenter at workshops and festivals. He is currently the associate minister of music at First Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln, Nebraska.

At First Plymouth, he oversees the First Plymouth chorale, youth orchestra, and Matins singers. He also conducts Plymouth Brass, a resident professional brass ensemble. In addition, Bankson works with the Plymouth choir and Abendmusik chorus and is the executive director of the Abendmusik: Lincoln Fine Arts Series.

He has led workshops, clinics, and hymn festivals for the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, American Guild of Organists, Leadership Program for Musicians, Augsburg Fortress, and various churches around the country. His compositions have been heard on radio programs including The Lutheran Hour, With Heart and Voice, and Sing for Joy.

Previously, Bankson served as director of music/organist at St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice, Nebraska, and associate director of music at Trinity English Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has also served as the vice president for Region I of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians and associate faculty member at Indiana University–Purdue University in Fort Wayne.

Bankson received his BM from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and completed post-graduate studies in choral conducting.
