Cathy Moklebust’s love for music resounds throughout her life. What started as a childhood hobby turned into a viable career when Cathy decided to major in music, percussion, and education at South Dakota State University. It was here that she received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and it was here that her love for music was fueled.

She is a talented and sought-out composer, evidenced by her numerous publications, awards, and commission requests. Best known for her personal contributions to the handbell music scene, she is also a handbell clinician and festival conductor. Cathy is a seasoned conductor, handbell ringer, and percussionist and, based on her experiences, is well-equipped to write brilliant music for her fellow musicians.

She and her husband, David, work together in the music publishing industry where they operate Moklebust Music Services, a music editing and engraving business.
