Jacob B. Weber is the associate editor of music/worship at Concordia Publishing House. Before joining CPH, Jacob was the kantor at Emmanuel Lutheran Church and School (LCMS) in Dearborn, Michigan, where he planned worship, taught music, and fulfilled organ responsibilities.

His educational background includes a BA in church music from Bethany Lutheran College, Mankato, Minnesota; graduate coursework at Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, Michigan; and a master of church music degree from Concordia University Wisconsin. Among his numerous organ instructors, Dr. John Behnke and Dr. Michael Burkhardt have been his teachers at the graduate level.

As a composer, he is often sought after for commissions, as a clinician for workshops and conferences, and as a recitalist. His growing catalog of compositions for organ, choir, instrumentalists, and handbell ensembles are available through numerous publishers, including CPH.

Jacob and his wife, Rachael, reside in St. Louis with their two children. Together, they authored and composed a resource for children entitled “Songs of the Church Year,” a songbook and CD published by CPH that is designed to teach children the concepts of the Church Year through music.
