Matthew Machemer serves as associate kantor at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he directs choirs, works with instrumentalists, assists in worship planning for the chapel, plays the organ for regular chapel services and special events, and serves as an instructor for various courses. In addition, he serves as instructor for the summer organist workshops and assists in the planning and administration of the seminary’s annual Good Shepherd Institute.

Machemer also serves St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne as the adult choir director and is a member of the Worship and Spiritual Care Committee for the Indiana District of the LCMS. Before moving to Fort Wayne, Matthew served as a church musician for parishes in Michigan and Illinois. He is an accomplished composer, presenter at conferences, and kantor.

He attended Concordia University Chicago and studied with Dr. Steven Wente, Dr. Jonathan Kohrs, and Martha Kasten. He and his wife live in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
